Cumberland City Council: Tomorrow is 11/11 and the nation bounds together to spare a minute’s silence for the soldiers who passed away fighting in World War 1 over 100 years ago. Here are are 4 services held in Cumberland:

🇬🇧 Princess Anne to Visit Sydney War Cemetery
Princess Anne has arrived in Sydney and reportedly laid a wreath at the Sydney War Cemetery in Rookwood yesterday to commemorate military service members ahead of Remembrance Day. You can read more about her visit including her schedule at here.
Princess Anne is the president of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, an organisation responsible for establishing and maintaining war cemeteries and graves of service members from WW1 and WW2.
Princess Anne last visited Australia in 2022 during the Royal Easter Show.
75 year old Princess Anne is King Charles’s younger sister and is currently 17th in line for the British throne.

♻ Children’s Clothing and Toy Swap

To celebrate National Recycle Week, Cumberland City Council are running a clothing a toy swap event.
Bring a box of preloved toys or outgrown clothes to swap with others.
Most suitable for parents of children 5 or younger.
Please bring only items in good condition as left overs will be donated to local charity.

🎁 Dooley’s Christmas Fair

Dooley’s Lidcombe are holding another Christmas festival this year for the community.
