🌟 Editor's Note
Hi {{first_name | resident}},
Last week Friday 17th was my first edition of the LAB newsletter. The support has been amazing but not every maiden voyage goes smoothly. I’d like to say sorry to the readers who were sadly unable to read the first edition.
I decided to change the theme design of the newsletter to reduce those issues repeating in the future.
I’m also excited to share the newsletter has grown further to {{active_subscriber_count}} active subscribers. I aim to send an email out twice a week, preferably in the morning so you can plan your week or weekend with as much time as possible.
This week we are doing a catch up on some of the Sydney Showground events currently on and upcoming.

Residents report receiving “Push Polling” calls about Carnarvon Golf Course
Some residents have advised receiving survey calls from a company called SEC Newgate on behalf of Metropolitan Memorial Parks (MMP).
Some receivers remarked that the callers were using words like “crisis” and “shortage” leading some to believe this is a push polling campaign.
Push polling is a deceptive political tactic disguised as a survey. Instead of collecting genuine opinions, it’s designed to influence or sway voters by spreading misleading or loaded information under the guise of polling.
CAUTION!!! Used Needles found in discarded furniture in Berala
A local Berala resident reported on Facebook seeing used needles in a pile of discarded furniture.
The furniture is situated near Uniting Church on The Crescent.
The resident was recommended to report the discovery to SnapSendSolve.
