👩 Western Sydney Women’s March
The community is invited to join this year’s 16 Days of Activism March, rallying under the message: SAFE. EVERYWHERE. ALWAYS.
This annual march brings people together to raise awareness, show support and take a stand against gender-based violence.
Startling statistics from UN Women Org says that 1 in 3 women experience gender-based violence in their lifetime.
38% of women also have personal experiences of online violence*.
85% have witnessed online violence towards another.
*Online violence can be categorised as defamation, written harassment, impersonation, hacking, threats of violence, deep faking and doxing.
By walking side by side, the community sends a powerful message—that everyone deserves to feel safe and respected, wherever they are.
The march starts 11:00 am at Merrylands Oval and concludes at Merrylands Town Centre around 1:00 pm.

Parramatta Westfield Shopping Centre is leaning heavily into Black Friday by extending centre trading hours to midnight tomorrow.
