🌟 Editor's Note
Good morning {{first_name | resident}},
An apology: Last week I incorrectly reported the Oddities & Curiosities Expo dates. The information has been corrected in this edition.
This weekend passed I had the delight of meeting Paddy from the Botanica Community Garden, an exciting new development for our community. Read on to learn how this space came to be and how you can get involved.
All the best,
Norman.

🥕 Community Garden Project
Located in Lidcombe at the corner of Botanica Drive and Magnolia Avenue you’ll discover a fenced off section of Central Park.
This is the Botanica Community Garden or otherwise known as the state funded Lidcombe Community Garden Project and it’s been quietly in the works for the last 5 years.
Cumberland City Council assisted with submitting the project application under the Places to Roam community gardens program and was finally approved July 2024 for state funds over $66,000 towards the construction of the community space.
Paddy Hore, president of the garden committee expressed that the garden was for all residents in the Cumberland area and encouraged everyone to visit and participate.
It is expected that the garden will be open on Saturdays with some select weekdays until a proper schedule is completed.
If you wish to contribute, the Botanica Community Garden is also looking for donations of unwanted gardening tools to make a strong start in 2026.
To join this wonderful community email [email protected] for a membership form ($35 per year) and join their Facebook group.
