Hi {{first_name | there}} !
You are a part of the first {{active_subscriber_count}} community members on this list.
I want to thank you for joining the LAB Newsletter in its first ever edition. I created this email to help locals from Lidcombe, Auburn and Berala (hence LAB) keep up to date with local news, business and events in the area. I will share things from neighbouring suburbs if I think you’ll appreciate it.
It might take some time to find my stride but I pledge I’ll do my best to curate quality information to you in every email. If you want to share anything with me, please feel free to reply directly.
Without further delay, let’s begin.

Lynda Voltz and the Pink Army (Source: Lynda Voltz Facebook)
Outpouring of support against the Carnarvon Golf Course and Coleman Park Proposal
Lynda Voltz, member for Auburn made a Facebook post on the 14th October:
”A big thank you and congratulations to the massive community effort in collecting over 10,000 signatures for the Protect Coleman Park and Carnarvon Golf Course petition This morning the Pink Army again lined the entrances to NSW Parliament with loud chants and a wall of pink before we officially lodged the petitions to the Parliament. All your hard work will now force a debate in the Legislative Assembly and this had been registered to take place on November 13th. Save the date now !”
Lynda followed up on the matter yesterday, advising residents to take the MMP survey before the deadline on Monday 19th October. “Just a few days remaining to tell MMP no cemetery!” she says.
The LAB will keep you updated on this story as it develops. Have your say here.
